Richard Mandell Golf Architecture (Business Development)

Gary manages the majority of the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development activities for RMGA. Much of it is communication related activity, including email marketing and email communication like the Form & Function newsletter sent out on a regular basis. With a background in Relationship Management, he understands the need to keep in touch with clients, especially in a rapidly evolving environment like the golf business.

After retiring from a successful career in sales and management, Gary Strohl relocated from his home state of Ohio to Pinehurst, North Carolina, in order to better pursue his life-long passion for the game of golf. He is a member of the Pinehurst Country Club and, during the rare moments when he is not actually on the course, he frequently works to support the golf community as a volunteer at professional and amateur tournaments. He is President of the Board of Directors of the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives in Pinehurst and is a member of the Tin Whistles.

Gary came out of retirement in order to assist RMGA on the business side. Formerly, he was a Senior Account Manager and Director at SBC Communications (now AT & T) and brings extensive experience in sales, marketing and account management to our team. His expertise will be focused on Business Development, freeing our design team to focus on what they do best: designing challenging and memorable golf courses.
