Make A Personal Page

Why a Personal Page?

Your personal page contains a number of features.

First and foremost, it can include your business contact information, bio, and picture. You can review your contributions to GolfBizWiki. Click on the "My Contributions" tab and you'll see a list of articles you've authored and, below that, a list of articles for which you've made the most recent edit.

Also, if someone reads an article you've written or a discussion point you've made, they can contact you directly through your personal page. When you write, edit, or make a discussion comment, your name is attached. By clicking on your name, a fellow Golfbizwikian can send you a message. Or, if a Golfbizwikian uses the "Thank the Authors" feature at the end of an article, the fan mail comes to your personal page. The messages are stored under the "Talk" tab.

Your personal page can be as individualized as you like. Since personal pages are the common means of business referrals on GolfBizWiki, if you are interested in referrals be sure to include information about your expertise, experience, and education and/or training.

How to Make a Personal Page

Discuss

This discussion page has not yet been started.

You have reached a discussion page that is currently empty. GolfBizWiki discussion pages are where people talk about how to improve a specific page. Typical topics include:

  • Does this page follow the GolfBizWiki Writers And Editors Guide?
  • Is the content on this page appropriate for wikiHow?
  • Is this article helpful or useful?
  • Is this article accurate?
A discussion page is an ideal place for two or more people with conflicting views to civilly reach consensus about how a page should be edited. By having these discussions off the topic page, GolfBizWiki community members can converse and agree on how to best improve the page.
