Hiring a Golf Professional
What would compensation be? We would like to hire a Golf Professional at our Golf Facility but find it difficult to find information on compensation (eg. retainer, % of Shop merchandise sales, % of cart revenues, etc). Jim: Have you heard of the AGM? (Association of Golf Merchandisers) They conduct regular compensation surveys that encompass: Owners, GMs, Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional, Director of Retail, Buyer/Merchandiser, Merchandiser for Off-course golf shop, private golf shops, public access golf shops and resort golf shops.
