"Making Golf and Education Accessible to All Children"

Get A Grip, an Orange County based foundation, was established in 2000 as a 501(c)3 privately operating foundation, located at Hidden Valley Golf Club in Norco California. The objec tive of the Foundation is to introduce all facets of the game of golf to children (ages 7-18) with a special emphasis on academic improvement and life skills. "Golf is our hook and education is our mission."

"Changing lives and creating opportunities for children to succeed is our goal. We seek to ensure that every child who is in our program earns their high school diploma and has the opportunity to continue in college placement or career leadership."

Products and Services

Get A Grip Foundation's Mission is to create an accessible golf-course and practice facility with an emphasis on a no-cost program for children that gives them exposure to the fundamentals of the game of golf through free practice balls, play, equipment, lessons, tournaments, etc.

To provide a motivating educational environment where children of all social levels develop self-esteem, personal and civic responsibility, dedication, sound values, and advanced education for lifelong confidence.

Key Objectives To introduce, teach, and encourage children in the fundamentals of education, golf and life skills.

To serve the community's youth, ages 7 to 18 by offering golf clinics, after-school homework tutoring and life skills training.

To build a family-friendly recreation activity where social, racial, and monetary backgrounds are not an issue.

Get A Grip Foundation moved to their new permanent home at the beautifully unique Hidden Valley Golf Club in Norco California. The new practice center is complete and our 4500 square foot education center in now open. From its unique design, to its natural beauty, Hidden Valley Golf Club has all the elements necessary to ensure a memorable golf experience.

Remarkable changes in elevation, majestic views, and a challenging golf course layout designed by architect Casey O'Callaghan will impress golfers at any skill level. Hidden Valley Golf Club's convenient central location is just one of the many reasons the course is becoming a true favorite among avid golfers throughout Southern California and the Get A Grip Foundation headquarters.
